Project Yosemite
I came across this video via a friend’s Facebook page, and I was immediately stunned.
The gorgeous use of time, space, and sound sink into me in a haunting, birth-of-a-new-world way.
I can appreciate a well-built palace, temple, or metropolis, but when I think about times I have been truly, genuinely awestruck, the good majority are natural beauties. The Grand Canyon, Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, ziplining over the rain forest in Costa Rica, Koh Phi Phi in Thailand…
There is a visceral sense of wonder that I feel when faced with the deep chasms of our Earth, or the skyscraping mountains and rocks. It’s as though my body shrinks to the smallest point in the universe, yet my heart expands to feel the fullness of life.

I can’t wait to experience all the natural beauty of America, from Yosemite to Yellow Stone to the Appalachia.
